Railways to call for tenders to procure 200 megawatt

Indian Railways will float tenders to procure at least 200 mega watt of solar energy in the next two months, a step which will promote use of non-conventional energy in its daily functioning. Softbank to invest USD 20 billion to generate 20 gigawatt solar power in India

  New Delhi: Betting big on India’s renewable energy sector, Japan’s SoftBank Corp together with Sunil Mittal’s Bharti Enterprises and Taiwanese mobile handset maker Foxconn will invest power.
